If Milwaukee County residents are interested in pursuing a career in the food chain industry, please contact the Department of Employee Relations, Health Department at City Hall, 200 East Wells Street, room 105. The office is open from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Applications are also found online. However, there is one stipulation.
“We do suggest that they stop by the office. If they are doing a food truck it depends on the activity.”
Ms. Faviola Martin, Employee
Different activities require different licenses. Some may sell hot dogs, brats, and more like Mr. Aaron Robinson, while others choose to sell tacos, ice cream, popcorn, and more.
Vendors may stay open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., while others are open until 3:00 a.m. Whether a vendor chooses to remain open until 5 p.m. or 3 a.m., all vendors need a license.
Licenses are inexpensive and affordable. All rights are displayed on the food truck or cart for your review. If you have any additional questions, please look at the attached website for CityClerk’s Office, and watch the attached video for more information about Extended Hour Licenses Establishment.
