37-Year Founders’ Day Theme: Spiritually Rooted and Forever Growing

Today, at Christ the King Baptist Church, congregation members refuse to be silent about their Founders. For 37 consecutive years, Pastor John Wesley McVicker, Sr., and First Lady Sister Marilynn continuously give a demonstration of their Salvation to their congregation in Milwaukee, WI,  and other gatherings outside of Milwaukee like in Racine, Kenosha, Illinois, Tennessee, inside and outside of the United States like in Malawi, Guatemala, and more.

They have been no strangers to hard work in and outside the church for thirty-seven years. At Christ The King Baptist Church, most, if not all members, past and present, those living in town or far away, personally know the Founders for aiding, believing, caring, edifying, forgiving, giving, helping, individualizing, joining, keeping, loving, mastering, nourishing, organizing, perfecting, quick-acting, rewarding, revitalizing, reassuring, showing, teaching, tolerating, utilizing, volunteering, welcoming, witnessing, working, being xenial, yodeling and zapping in words and deeds.

Their deeds and demeanor point everyone to their love for Jesus Christ and their church mission- loving God, others, and ourselves. To know Christ and make Him known. After the prayers, songs, Litany, and liturgical dance, Reverend. Dr. Don Darius Butler preached a powerful word from Heaven. The eloquent and precise preacher traveled from Alabama to proclaim Heaven’s Gospel for the loving, and legendary, Founders and faithful members.

Being Caught in the Middle

Jeremiah 21: 7-13

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfullness.”

Colossians 2:6-7, New International Version
Sunday, July 17th, 2022, Reverend Judy Amos-Worship Leader

Jeremiah 21: 7-13

Three-week celebration of praying, preaching, and praising JESUS for Pastor John Wesley McVicker, Sr, and First Lady, Sister Marilynn McVicker. Today was the grand finale, but it is not over for Christ The King Baptist Church. God is still working it out for the Founders and their members.
