Christ The King Baptist Church Ends October Women’s Month Celebration with High Expectations

For the entire month of October, Christ The King Baptist Church celebrated Women in Ministry through praise, prayer, powerful Words from Heaven, and being purposeful by contributing to the sock Barrell for needy persons.  Families donated scarves, hats, mittens, and socks for the homeless and disadvantaged.  To finalize Christ The King’s Women’s Month Celebration, Bishop Lisa M. Weah, the Senior Pastor and first female Pastor of the New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland, gave the congregation a Word of Encouragement in times of crisis.

The powerful Word from Heaven by Bishop Weah, “I Didn’t Ask for This,” Genesis 29: 31-35, explained the life of Leah, Laban’s oldest daughter, and Jacob’s first wife by default.

31 When the Lord saw that Leah was not loved, he enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless. 32 Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben,[a] for she said, “It is because the Lord has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now.”

33 She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “Because the Lord heard that I am not loved, he gave me this one too.” So she named him Simeon.[b]

34 Again she conceived, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “Now at last my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three sons.” So he was named Levi.[c]

35 She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “This time I will praise the Lord.” So she named him Judah.[d] Then she stopped having children

Passionate and pleased, Pastor John Wesley McVicker Sr told the virtual congregation,

“If you have never shared a message, you share this one. Somebody needs to know that God will bless you, and you can praise Him and praise your way out of your pain, right out of your situation.”

“I just love that sermon today,  my goodness, my, my.”
