Celebrating Christ on Christmas Sunday

Today, all over the world, Christians gather in their local church to celebrate the birth of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. On Sunday, December 25th, Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in the Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Non-Demoninational, and many more services focusing on one, a few, or all of the above: Christmas Cantatas, Communion, Hymns, Liturgical Dancing, Prayers of Affirmation, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication, Christmas Plays, Scripture, Sermon, and Songs.

Today is special because Christmas falls on a Sunday, the fourth Sunday in December 2022. According to Google, Christmas falls on a Sunday within a 28-year cycle. After today, Christmas Celebration will occur on December 25th, 2033.

Christmas is a joyous celebration for every believer. Luke 2:1-20 announces the birth of Jesus Christ, the Salvation for the world. Acts 4: 12 states, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Some believers worshipped Jesus alone at home through youtube or Netflix.

Other believers went to their local congregation and worshipped with fellow believers.

Some believers worshipped before Christmas with friends from work.

Other believers celebrated Christmas honoring Jesus, giving gifts, and spending time with family at home.

Some worked in food pantries feeding the homeless and helpless during this holiday season.

Whatever one did to celebrate this memorable holiday,  hope, peace, joy, and love, candles lit, completing the advent wreath.
