Other candidates running for Wisconsin Supreme Court were not in attendance for this Morning’s worship service. Pastor McVicker told the congregation that he usually does not do this, but he would allow Judge Everett Mitchell to say Good Morning.

“I am not running from my people; I am running right to you,” Judge Everett Mithcell asks for votes.

“Justice is not what you say; Justice is what you do,”

Mitchell is not a stranger or a rookie to politics. In a reiteration of Pastor John Wesley McVicker, Sr., comments, his resume includes the following:

  •  Current, Dane  County Circuit Court Judge
  • Current, Senior Pastor of Christ the Solid Rock Church
  • Current, Adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School
  • Co-creator of the Office of Youth Re-Engagement in the Madison Metropolitan School District
  • Former Assistant Attorney
  • Graduate of Morehouse College
  •  Graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary

Judge Mitchell remembered Hebrews 10:25 and bid accordingly.

“not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching,”

Hebrews: 10:25, New International Version.

Judge Mitchell did not speak and left abruptly. He campaigned, gave hugs, listened, talked, prayed, shook hands, and took pictures.

Judge Mitchell is asking for your vote.

With the election only nine days away, Honorable Judge Everett Mitchell was the only candidate who spoke to the awaiting congregation about Milwaukee’s Spring Election on Tuesday, February 21st. The Spring Election will be on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023.
