“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! 2 It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. 3 It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion,”
Psalm 133: 1-3
April Men’s Month is a culmination of men on one accord, with the same attitude and spirit, uniting to worship Jesus Christ in spirit and truth.
Every year during April, the women at Christ The King Baptist Church took a break for five consecutive weeks while the Men facilitated the services for April Men’s Month. Every year, Men focus on recruiting other men in the city, strengthening one another, and supporting each other. This ongoing celebration brings the men closer in fellowship and unity.
While the Vision of Christ The King Baptist Church is “To know Christ and to make Him Known.” This vision continues to be embedded and remembered in the hearts and heads of CTK parishioners. From the pulpit to the pews, Willing men were in charge of the Scriptures, sermons, service, gospel songs, and morning hymns. Today was the final culmination of a month-long celebration. CTK’s women have their Women’s Month every October, while the men gleamed joyfully in every ministry for April.
CTK’s Motto is “One Shephard, One Vision-A Church that cares about You.” The Men manifested this Motto during their April Celebration Month in their way.

The Monthly firework finale ended with the Annual Men’s Day Conference on Saturday, April 29th, and a spoken Word from Heaven on Sunday, April 30th, from Guest Preacher Reverend James M. Ivy from New Zion Baptist Church.

“When the Men Come Back,” 1st Samuel 30: 1-19.
Initially, Reverend Ivy said once the church was lively and spirit-filled, there was a transition to back-bitting and gossip. He added, “If only the men had been there.” Men being in the church is not about attendance but their spiritual responsibilities.
From 1st Samuel, chapters 27-30, Rev. Ivy talks about Ziklag.
(5-7) David receives the city of Ziklag.
Then David said to Achish, “If I have now found favor in your eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there. For why should your servant dwell in the royal city with you?” So Achish gave him Ziklag that day. Therefore Ziklag has belonged to the kings of Judah to this day. Now the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was one full year and four months.
King David received the city Ziklag as a gift in an alliance with the Philistine King of Gash, Achish.
“Ziklag is a representation of the church. An oasis of spiritual safety, love, and fellowship with the 600 men with David. Ziklag was also a city located inside enemy territory.”
Reverend Ivy
Rev. Ivy reminded the Men of Christ The King the following:

As April comes to a close, May begins. Today, The Men of Christ The King Baptist Church healed, helped and is hopeful for the future from Rev. Ivy’s sermon. “When the Men Come Back” reminds all men to return to church and get to work. Things get better when men return home to work by talking to God, doing what He says, and recovering all that he has lost.
