From Georgia, her message was simple. I Survived It, From 2nd Samuel, Chapter 12, 24-25.
Pastor Jennifer Carner spoke about the life of Bathsheba. Life after bad news, loss, heartbreak, being taken from her husband Uriah, from King David, and stripped of her land, she goes to win anyway.
Pastor Jennifer Carner
“Yes, you will survive it. Overlooked, underappreciated, no status, no influence, story survives…”
Three facts, Carner says and continues to reiterate to the parishioners of Christ The King Baptist Church.
- Remember your Worth (verses 18-21). 2nd Samuel, David’s Power vs. Bathsheba’s Powerless, she lives with King David while he has six other women in the home, along with their children.
- Record your Wins; It’s okay not to be okay. Survival is not healing. You can survive and still have scars: 1st Corinthians 2:9. Romans 8:18, Psalm 27. Rehearse your Wins.
- Recognize What You Have– Jedidiah means God’s Gift. God is all you need!
1st Kings 1:28- Bathsheba used her voice! In 1st Kings, Chapters 1 and 2, the prophet Nathan reminds Bathsheba of King David’s promise to Solomon. Bathsheba used her voice to remind King David of his promise to her and her son, Solomon.
