Purpose of the Occasion

On Lenten Friday, April 11th, while high school athletes were competing in sports, members of Christ the King Baptist Church Parishioners, who were in good standing but also willing and able, made their way to the church for an essential night of voting.

Deacon Cross began, “It’s a solemn occasion but an important occasion.”

Dorothy York later added, “Voted in compliance with the Constitution of this church. I thank God for you. I thank you for what you have done. You have not elected a pastor tonight. You accepted the recommendation,so do not vote on a pastor tonight.”

“Pastor John Wesley McVicker, Sr., is still the Pastor. He will be on your minds and your hearts until the day they tell you. When that time comes, what you have done tonight will give you a Pastor Elect,” added Dr. Pastor Crouthers.
“You have a Pastor Elect after Pastor John Wesley McVicker leaves.”
The Voting Process Explained by Deacon Harper
