Christ The King Baptist Church Presents Kept In Heaven, Easter Cantata

Christ The King Baptist Church Presents Kept In Heaven, Easter Cantata
It is a dual play about a kid doing drugs and helping a lost young girl find her way in life. Chi’s experience allows him to learn more about Jesus Christ. What will young Chi, portrayed by Malachi, do? Will he be influenced by the drug dealer Deon, or will he listen to Jesus? The beauty of the play transitions to scenes where Chi sees or hears about Jesus Christ.

After Chi sees Jesus and his disciples go to the Upper Room, the following incredible scene of Jesus, portrayed by Leon after leaving the Upper Room, reminds the disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane to stay awake while Jesus goes further to pray.

Matthew 26:40-45 King James Version (KJV) “And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

From scene to scene, CTK’s volunteers have poured their hearts and souls into this performance, practicing diligently to ensure everything is perfect for Jesus Christ. Their unwavering dedication and hard work are appreciated, from the actors and actresses to the liturgical dancers, singers, and stage-handling crew.

Christ the King Baptist Church cordially invites you to worship with the Dance and Arts Department on Resurrection Sunday. The sermon will be the play, and the service begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. There is no fee; come for free!
