    4:00 pm Performance for drivers who do not like to be out late at night, or have difficulty driving at night. Ginuwine Remembers and Cares!

    Per Al Overview, “The Juneteenth celebration at Summerfest is a partnership between Summerfest and Northcott Neighborhood House. It will follow the traditional Milwaukee Juneteenth Day parade and festival on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.”

    6:00 pm Juneteeth Opening Ceremony on Summerfest Grounds

    “Fabolous” is scheduled to perform at the Summerfest Juneteenth Day Celebration in Milwaukee on June 19, 2025. The event will begin at 6:00 PM.

    Various Times

    Fabolous will be singing on the US Cellular Connection Stage at 10 pm.

    On the Aurora Pavilion Stage, Bow Wow performs at 7 pm & Kenny Perez at 9 pm. Eric Benet will be performing at 7:30 pm in the BMO Pavilion. DJ Mando is scheduled to perform at 12 noon and 7 pm at The American Family Insurance House. Def Leppard with Tesla begins at 7:30 pm in the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. At 10 pm, the BMO Pavilion will be featuring The Isley Brothers.

    Don’t forget to vote for the 56th NAACP Image Awards! This process is rather simple. Each voter needs one email and must choose from the categories consisting of the following: Television & Streaming, Recording, Motion Picture, and Podcast. After voting in a specific category, the person in the box is highlighted with a heart, and the category on the main page will be marked with a yellow check. Please direct to the example below.

    On Social Media, Sanaa Lathan encouraged her fans to participate, so fans cast their ballot. Whether a celebrity encouraged one to vote or not, please show some love, remember how one felt after each performance, and vote. By the end of the voting process, there should be a total of 59 votes counted. This process may take 15 minutes or less. Although, the voting process may be challenging if one is not familiar with the movies or has not listened to the audio clips.

    Some categories are not open for public ballot, and that is okay. Vote where one can.

    Ginuwine, also known as Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, is a man of few words but rich character charisma, charm, and confidence. He was born to the late parents of James II Lumpkin and Sandra Lumpkin. On October 15th, 1970, the beautiful couple gave birth to a handsome, healthy, and humble son.  

    We’re unsure if they knew his birth would bring happiness, healing, and hope to all, but Jesus Christ knew.

    11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

    From the basement to the balcony or the pit to the palace, Ginuwine’s character, conduct, and conversation led him to the music, film, and television industry. It helped less fortunate people around the world. His music dried tears, softened hearts, and healed wounded spirits. Spending time with Ginuwine will ease pain and mend broken hearts. His sold-out concert sales are evidence enough that he is making a difference in everyone’s lives.

    Barber Clarence Emanuel, a friend, barber, and close-confidant of the R and B legendary singer, Ginuwine, went from labor to rest on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, leaving behind his lovely wife, children, and many family members. Please keep the family and Ginuwine in your prayers during this sorrowful time.

    “Pillow Talk, Confessions Between The Sheets”

    If you were ever confused or needed guidance about relationships, the play Pillow Talk enlightened you, from saying no to lying, cheating, and committing adultery to stay together, solving problems, and remaining together.

    Pillow Talk’s dynamic performance from Director Mr. C.L. Woodson III reminded the 700-plus well-mannered crowd in Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater on Saturday night, February 25th, that the bed is for sleeping and freakin.

    The balcony must have had a room of 600 or fewer people because the floor section was completely filled. Laughter, tears, hands waving, and subtle comments from the audience reminded the actors that they concurred with them in words, songs, Scripture, prayer, and praise from Acts 1-4, God Why? Go Ahead and Leave? Great is Your Mercy and Sleeping and Freaking.

    The twenty-minute intermission allowed parishioners to rest, relax and mingle while the phenomenal actors and actresses prepare for Acts three and four.   Videotaping was not allowed, but after the show, the phenomenal audience was allowed to take photos with all of the extraordinary performers, including:

    Director Woodson III admitted during the finale that the players only had seven rehearsals. Six were virtual, and one in-person trial. From the audience’s perspective, there was appreciation, gratitude, and thankfulness for bringing this extraordinary play to Milwaukee. Through the dialect, Director Woodson III reminds the audience about trusting God-Jesus Christ, focusing on His word, and praising His name. After the play, homes were better, relationships were restored and strengthened, forgiveness was given, and a peaceful heart was restored in every hand and heart.

  • Update on Patti Labelle’s Cancelled Show at the Riverside Theater

    A Bomb Threat at the Riverside Theater

    On Saturday, December 10th, an unexpected Bomb threat was called in at the Riverside Theater. On-site Security quickly removed  Patti  Labelle and her entourage from the stage. Two minutes later, confused, irritated, and startled fans were told about the possible bomb threat and to quickly evacuate from the Riverside Theater. Following protocol, the Milwaukee Police Department controlled the scene by asking patrons to walk away from the building, wait across the street from the venue, and later down the road by Water Street. The concert did not continue; what should fans do next?

    According to the Box Office Staff Representative Darren, “Fans have two options.

    Option one, hold on to the ticket (s), accept the new date,  and wait for the next show to announce.  Option two, if participants do not want to wait for a new date, they may get a full refund now. “

    If customers bought tickets online, a confirmation email would ask fans to wait for a new date or ask for a full refund. If participants decide to wait for the next show, they will keep their tickets for the new event. It is up to the individual.

    Again, Darren added, “Accept the new date or get a refund right now.” Fans may get a full refund by calling the box office at 414-242-8200 or checking their emails.

  • A Bomb Threat Stops Patti Labelle’s Show

    After Ms. Patti Labelle performed her second song tonight at the Riverside Theater, she was immediately rushed off the stage by Security and the singers and musicians on stage. After waiting two minutes, the audience was told that everyone had to evacuate the building because Ms. Patti Labelle’s life was threatened.   #PattiLabelle, #TheRiversideTheater

    Currently, there are no casualties, and no one has been hurt.

  • Depression or sadness, What’s the Difference, and where to go for help?

    Do you feel sad, lose interest or pleasure in your favorite activities, gain or lose weight, sleep too much or very little, lose energy and feel fatigued?   Perhaps you noticed that sitting still is problematic for you or pacing is an issue. Are you feeling guilty when you have done or worthless? Maybe you do not feel appreciated or loved. Are you having difficulty concentrating on one task or making accurate decisions? Are you thinking about death not by planning for your Memorial but by contemplating suicide?

    According to Psychiatry.org, all of the above symptoms allude to depression.   Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel and act.  

    One should know that being sad and having depression are not the same.
