Announcements and Recognitions from Pastor John Wesley McVicker, Sr.

“Out of 365, this is your one day! All day! Milk it because it’s going to be over when the clock strikes 12:01,” said Pastor John Wesley McVicker, Sr.

“I’m glad to see my friend, the top cop of our county, Sheriff, Denita Ball is here this morning, thank you for being here with us this morning. Thank you for worshipping with us today.”

“Dr. Jacqueline Howell transitioned from Labor to Rest. Suppose you’re at least my age or a few years younger and have children. She was our pediatrician.

Two doctors took care of us, Dr. Windon Pen Lacy, who was the obstetrician, after he caught them and handed them off to Dr. Jacqueline Howell. 94 years young. Thank God for her,” added Pastor McVicker.

“No longer was anyone able to dictate his steps.
Even with a chain, no one was able to bind him anymore.
Ordinances, laws created to prevent him from being the man he was supposed to be,” added Pastor McVicker.

“He stood up against the status quo and reclaimed
The systems targeted him, but the
No one was able to subdue him.
Repeatedly chains and shackles, tools, Repeatedly those tools were implemented but he overcame them,” Verse 4, added Pastor McVicker.

“Every mechanism to restrict and restrain him failed.
Fought against legalized controls, the tombs became his assigned place.
“No law, policy, or practice could kill this man’s dreams and desires for freedom.”

“The caveat was although he moved beyond those impediments, the mental anguish provoked outbursts and expressions of deep-seated pain and distress.”

“Constantly Night and day, he was screaming in the tombs and mountains and gashing himself with stones”

“Not just this man, if assigned to the tombs long enough can and will engage in self-destructive behavior because of being emotionally and psychologically emasculated by those who could exert power over his life.”

“His coping mechanism to be assigned a lot in life resulted in normalized antisocial and self-destructive behavior.”

“Life in the tomb is a daily reminder that no one cares about your welfare, humanity.”

This man was being dominated and controlled by voices that refused to grant him freedom of choice and mind.
Trying to convince him that life in the tombs became his fate.

JESUS wanted the man to tune out those voices so he could live his life unfettered from his past. This man had been resistant to every system.”
