Christ The King Baptist Church takes care of home first. Each year, the church distributes money to high school seniors going to college, and this year is no different. On June 9th, 2024, graduating seniors from high school and college will be recognized during the worship service. Here are some captured moments from last year’s celebration with the keynote speaker, Honorable Judge Everett Mitchell.
On May 25th, Holy Thursday, colleagues, family, friends, and staff personnel gathered at the BMO Bradley Harris Center in the morning for two consecutive hours to recall, reflect, and recognize this year’s Graduation Class of 2023.
There were encouraging words from Principal Mrs. Lolita Harden, who told the students 2023, this was the year of Jordan. She reminded the graduates that Jordan was not always successful but persevered in his trials and tribulations and was triumphant.
Principal Mrs. Lolita Harden
Her keynote address parallels the school Valedictorian, who told the students not to worry or give up. Follow your dreams. What else did Principal Harden say to the graduates? Who was Casimir Pulaski, 2023 Class Valedictorian? Watch the video for Principal Harden’s speech and excerpts from 2023’s Class School Valedictorian. Her encouraging remarks were interpreted in English and translated into Spanish.
