  • Mr.Don Black talks about Jammin 98.3 Radiothon on September 22nd and 23rd, 2022

The Milwaukee Public Schools District has a total of 165 schools, 42 high schools, 88 middle schools, 122 elementary schools, and 117 pre-schools.  In the District ratings, 76% are below average, 18% are moderate, and 6% are above average. To improve the District ratings, the community is working together.

Jammin98.3 is partnering with the Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation to give students the resources they need to succeed academically in the classroom.  What do the students need?  Supplies are the answer.  Mr. Don Black, the Program Director of WJMR for five years, from 98.3, explains why Jammin 98.3 is partnering with Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation.

On September 22nd and 23rd, there will be a radiothon where donors can call in and donate money.  The goal is $10,000.  From 10:00 am to 7 pm, willing participants can call in and donate money.  According to Mr. Black, generous sponsors can call anytime to give money, but those are the designated dates and hours of operation. Participants may also donate on the actual Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation website. Donations are also available on this link.

According to the link, donating $10.00 will help students with Pencil Pouch

Milwaukee, please join Jammim 98.3 and Milwaukee Public School Foundation to help students to achieve their short and long-term goals by learning in the classroom and graduating, and dropping out of school and becoming homeless are not options.  The percentage of MPS dropouts has decreased, and the number should remain low. Working together works, so please give generously on September 22nd and 23rd, going above and beyond, surpassing the $10,000 goal.
