Ginuwine's Queen News Release

Category: Musical

  • Since your debut in Pony in 1996, you have changed the world with your mannerisms, melodies, and music. Your motivation to strive for better allowed you to go from the basement productions with your crew to the stage. Like Joseph in the Bible, you soar from the pit to the palace. Life was not easy for you, yet Ginuwine, you have proven that you can fulfill your goals on a team and solo.

America loves you for your determination, dedication, and elegant style. You have captivated our hearts with your passion, personality, and powerful on-stage presence, and we are thankful for that; thank you for every album, chord, lyric, and melody on your memorable holiday. Your music soothes our souls, gives us calmness, and allows us to take a break from the daily struggles of life. Sometimes, we feel like King David.

Psalms 55:6-8 New International Version (NIV)I said, “Oh, I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. I would flee far away and stay in the desert; I would hurry to my shelter, far from the tempest and storm.”

Every concert, conversation, interaction, and song will enable us to fly away from life for a little while and rest. Thank you for making our life journey a little easier to manage. For this, we are grateful to you. We love you!

  • Was it one week of accomplishing work goals as a team or by oneself? Perhaps one did not work at all. Whatever the situation, take a break from life and enjoy some quality ME Time at the Crown Complex. Bring your date or go alone.

  • Saturday night’s Reunion Choir was a testament to the diverse and inclusive community of CTK. Former youth members, now older and with families, married, divorced, pregnant, or choosing to remain single, all in their respective careers, or still in school, returned to Christ The King Baptist Church for a special evening of singing for Jesus Christ. Their commitment was evident as they traveled from various cities, at their own expense, to make this event a reality. While some choir members could not join due to work commitments with Summerfest or other employment, those who could perform demonstrated their devotion to Jesus Christ through music and dance.

  • A Bomb Threat at the Riverside Theater

On Saturday, December 10th, an unexpected Bomb threat was called in at the Riverside Theater. On-site Security quickly removed  Patti  Labelle and her entourage from the stage. Two minutes later, confused, irritated, and startled fans were told about the possible bomb threat and to quickly evacuate from the Riverside Theater. Following protocol, the Milwaukee Police Department controlled the scene by asking patrons to walk away from the building, wait across the street from the venue, and later down the road by Water Street. The concert did not continue; what should fans do next?

Intermission time after Special Guest Jeff Bradshaw performed and before the Bomb Threat

According to the Box Office Staff Representative Darren, “Fans have two options.

Option one, hold on to the ticket (s), accept the new date,  and wait for the next show to announce.  Option two, if participants do not want to wait for a new date, they may get a full refund now. “

    Box Office Staff Representative Darren

If customers bought tickets online, a confirmation email would ask fans to wait for a new date or ask for a full refund. If participants decide to wait for the next show, they will keep their tickets for the new event. It is up to the individual.

Again, Darren added, “Accept the new date or get a refund right now.” Fans may get a full refund by calling the box office at 414-242-8200 or checking their emails.

  • Iris Lareine–Sincere, Sophisticated, and Stylish. Her featured song is called Soulmate.

    Iris Lareine

Miss Iris Lareine, Songwriter and Producer from Milwaukee, WI

Miss Iris Lareine is not only a singer/rapper but also a Teacher and a Mother of two. The young and talented artist’s dreams exceed more than singing and rapping on a CD or video; she would also like to create her own dance studio for ballet, tap, and jazz.

Of course, the studio is open for everyone who enters, but primarily young girls of color between the ages of 4 to 17. Miss Iris Lareine says, ¨I want to give back to the community.¨

Remembering her childhood, she recalls growing up and dancing.

¨I grew up dancing in Milwaukee Ballet when she was four.¨  Not only did she dance, but she also modeled, acted, and wrote plays.

    Iris Lareine

Sheś is a playwright too. Her favorite play is Grease

    She added,  ¨I am a helpless romantic.¨

In addition to Soulmate, Miss Iris Lareine has two songs she wrote and produced: Blunt Talk and Oh Well.

Blunt Talk is a survival anthem.

Oh, Well is my version of starting from the bottom and going to the top.

She was writing and producing songs are not the only things that she loves to do. She likes to cook as well. She loves cooking collard greens, lasagna, and all types of tacos. While sheś is cooking, she likes to play her songs as well as others.

¨I like to play all my songs; My all-time feel-good song is Come Fly with Me by Frank Sinatra because if I could choose any superpower, it would be to fly.  It feels like I am flying in the song.¨

Cooking and writing songs are only a few things that Miss Iris Lareine focuses on in her life.

¨I am also a humanitarian; I seek justice for all and that anyone can turn nothing into something.  I dont look up to anyone because humans are flawed.  Only one person wasn’t flawed, and that is the only person I am looking up to.  I look to God and don’t look down on anyone.  I just look to God and do my part.¨

She writes r and b, hip hop, old school, and gospel music to relieve stress, remain peaceful, and have serenity. She also writes plans for videos and commercials and envisions new or different environments than the one she is in to relieve stress.

Mis Iris Lareine adds, ¨I am an intellectual empath that is hard to put in a box, but also hard to understand.  I just want to do what I can to make the world a better place.¨

Her songs are all found on Spotify, Itunes, and YouTube.

  • Whether Smokey Robinson was singing,  I Second that Emotion with the Miracles, or alone, he will always be known for his greatest hits like Cruisin, Ooh Baby, Baby, Being With You, and more. Some of Milwaukeeś seasoned population may remember William Smokey Robinson, Jr.,  aka Smokey, when he was singing from The Five Chimes  to The Matadors, back to The Miracles,

For Milwaukee, thankfully, in Jan 1950, after two months of college studying electrical engineering, he dropped out of college and pursued his musical career. With his perseverance in music as a writer and producer,  he has numerous hit albums.

On Thursday, June 2nd, 2022, the former athlete, legendary songwriter, writer, producer, and former Vice President of Motown played those recording hits at The Miller High Life Theater, holding 4,000 people; on Thursday, June 2nd at 8 pm.

¨We are excited to have him and the fans.  We will have a phenomenal time tonight!

Vice President of Marketing and Communication of Miller high Life Theatre, Sarah Maio,

With no meet and greet, no VIP, and only one show, with doors opening at 7 pm and Smokey performing at 8 pm, the concert is expected to last until 10 pm.

From the box office, ¨At 3:40 pm, 1500 tickets were sold.¨

Maio said that ¨ Walk-up tickets were still available.¨

After 7 pm, the bus office disclosed that  1,424 tickets were scanned, and  2,094 tickets were distributed/sold.

While patrons were trickling into the Miller High Life Theater just a few feet away, Bay View High Graduation Ceremony was ending at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, 400 W. Kilbourn Ave. Adequate security holds their positions and graduates smiling with balloons, diplomas, gifts, cell phones, and cameras.  In my opinion, the

Situational irony is apparent. It is unknown how many Smokeys walked across the Panther Stage and had that compelling urge to pursue their writer, producer, and singer dream. From one chapter to the next, did Smokey compete with the graduation? Not. Smokey reminded the graduates, whether their Commencement Ceremony was on Thursday night like Bay View or Wednesday morning like Casimir Pulaski High School, that today they graduated, and this is the present. When they see the signs of Smokey performing, graduates will realize that they could be the next Smokey Robinson one day.
