Tuesday Election Primaries begin at 7 am and end at 8 pm in Milwaukee, WI. When Voters vote early, those votes will not count until the actual Primary.
Debbie from The Election Commission said,
“We don’t have any counts. Results will start coming in at 8 pm tomorrow (Tuesday) until the races are declared.”
If residents are unsure where to vote, according to Debbie, there are 180 voting places in Milwaukee, WI. There are two stipulations.
If residents are registered to vote, they should bring proof of identification-a driver’s license or State ID card. If residents are not registered to vote, go to the voting place and fill out a registration form. Also, bring proof of residency, a utility bill, a residential lease, or a bank statement.
Early Voters who saw the commercials on Twitter and Facebook heard the speeches and changed their minds about their candidates. They may vote again. There is a process where poll workers will fill out a form and the necessary paperwork to delete the first ballot and add the second.
Whether a voter has a question about homelessness like Los Angeles, or any other issue that affects them, they may choose a candidate that aligns with their integrity and interests. For example, some protect the homeless in Los Angeles and do not want their “residency” banned 500 yards from daycare centers and schools. However, others say politicians are criminalizing homelessness in Los Angeles.
According to the Associated Press, “Supporters of the blanket ban said homeless camps are a health and safety threat to schoolchildren, primarily because of the disruptive presence of people with drug addictions or mental illness.”
Homelessness may or may not be your issue in Milwaukee, but each candidate represents what they believe. Donald Schwartz is proud to say he helps people who do not earn much money.
‘I’m proud to be with the Social Development Commission (SDC), A Community Action Agency in Milwaukee.
Each day, my work is to bring energy and enthusiasm to the SDC and contribute toward putting poverty in Milwaukee County into the dust bin of history.”
